Located in the centre of Partenkirchen, at the foot of the Zugspitze and Alpspitze mountains, the Mercure Hotel offers the ideal base for numerous activities, such as hiking, cycling, skiing, rafting and paragliding. The nearby ski resorts are easily accessible via cost-free Skibus or public bus services. Begin your tour of the area by visiting the adjacent road, Ludwigstraße, with its ancient buildings embellished with traditional mural paintings, and its shops and stylish restaurants. Just a short walk away, you find a new ski jump (due to be completed in December 2007), which will be the venue for the annual "New Year's jump" - part of the "Four Ski Jump Tournament".

Our restaurant "Alt Partenkirchen" offers elegant, high quality regional cuisine. Our head chef Christian Schupp uses only the best produce from local sources. Lamb, veal, fish, vegetables and poultry all stem from the region and are prepared with great care. Within the cosy ambience of our restaurants with their many nooks and crannies, you can start your day with an extensive breakfast, which lives up to its claim of being the "best breakfast in town". In the restaurant "Lüftlstube" you can enjoy all the typical, rustic-style dishes which Bavaria has to offer. Our meals provide sustenance following a tiring day on the slopes or on the saddle, whether you sample hearty "Brotzeit" or "Leberkas". During the summer our attractive beer garden with breathtaking panoramic view of the Alps invites you to unwind in the fresh air. Every Friday we grill a whole suckling pig and serve "Schmankerl".
