The hotel enjoys an ideal urban location right in the heart of the Schanzenviertel and Karolinenviertel areas. These areas were renovated in recent years and have now become some of the most desirable places to live or go out in Hamburg. There are a whole host of cafés, bars and restaurants around the square on the Schulterblatt where you can relax. There are trendsetting design and fashion shops in Marktstraße. The nearby Grindelviertel area offers cultural activities, including cinemas, theatres and galleries. The Sternschanzenpark is right on the hotel doorstep, and features theatre performances under a marquis, as well as a summer open-air cinema programme where you can watch cinema classics.
